iTunes is the iOS device management software made by Apple. Make sure you’ve installed the latest version of this program on your computer. Then follow the steps below to transfer music from your computer to your iPhone.

2. Put Music on iPhone Using Cloud Services (Free)
Cloud storage is so popular these days. For music lovers, there are some free & big-name services that let you upload and sync your music collection on all of your devices.
Save your music in the cloud and sync across all of your devices.

Need to connect your device to the Internet and re-download the files.
OneDrive & Groove
Microsoft OneDrive offers 15GB of free storage for beginners and I believe this capacity is more than enough for most of us to store music. You can use the web-based version, but I recommend installing the OneDrive application on your Mac or PC.
The application will create a new folder named OneDrive on your computer and anything inside it will be synced to the cloud. So if you want to upload your own music, all you need to do is copy your files to this folder.

On your iPhone or iPad, don’t install the OneDrive app. Microsoft has a music streaming app called Groove (download) and it supports OneDrive perfectly.

Once you’ve logged into your Microsoft account, all music stored in OneDrive will show up in the My Music section of the Groove app. You can download tracks to your iPhone for offline playback by tap and hold on a song and select “Make Available Offline”.
It would be much better if the app had an option to select multiple files at once. As of now, you can only select songs one by one if you’d like to download, delete or add them to playlist, now playing.
Google Play Music
Google Play Music is a cloud-based music streaming service and it offers two listening plans: Free and Unlimited. With Its Free plan, you’re allowed to upload up to 50,000 of your own songs from the desktop for free.
If you’ve been using Google Chrome, you can upload tracks directly through the browser. If not, you will need to download Google’s Music Manager software.
Once you’ve finished uploading your music collection to Google’s server, you can play it from any devices. For iOS, just install the Google Play Music app on your iPhone or iPad then sign in with the same account you used to upload music earlier.
Now, to see your uploaded songs, open the side navigation menu of the app, then select “Music library”. To download music tracks to your iPhone for enjoying them without an Internet connection, simply “pin” them in the app.
If you don’t want to keep a song in the app, you can remove it without worrying about the file being lost, as the original file is now stored in the cloud. In the future, you can keep using Play Music’s website, or the Music Manager application to add new songs and get them synchronized on your iPhone.
Dropbox
In some countries, Groove and Google Play Music may be not available to install. If that’s your case, you can use Dropbox as an alternative.

Like OneDrive, you can install Dropbox app on both your computer and your iPhone to make syncing music between them easier. The free Dropbox account comes with 2GB of storage, and there are a couple of ways you can try to extend the space storage for free.

Although you’re able to save music offline, or minimize the app in the background and still listen to the playback, the built-in media player of Dropbox is not designed to be a fully-featured media player.
You can’t create your favorite playlists or play songs continuously. The solution is to install an additional cloud music player on your iPhone. Musicloud is a free and good app like that. The app will scan your Dropbox account for music files then ask you what you want to import locally.
3. Transfer Music to iPhone Wirelessly via Wi-Fi (Free)
There are a couple of apps that can let you transfer music from your computer to iPhone or iPad wirelessly via Wi-Fi. Your MP3 files are not added to the core library, instead, they are stored in these apps’ local storage.

VLC for iOS

The VLC app for iOS can create a small web server which you can use to send files directly to your iPhone through a web browser.
To be able to use this feature, your PC and iPhone need to connect to the same Wi-Fi network. In the side navigation menu, you’ll find an option named “Sharing via Wi-Fi”. Simply toggle it on to activate the feature.
Once you’ve turned it on, the app will show you two URLs right beneath the “Sharing via Wi-Fi” option. Now launch the web browser on your computer and go to either of the URLs shown in the app. For example, the first URL shown in my app is http://192.168.5.101, so I will access it on my computer.
When the web page is loaded, simply drag your music files and drop them onto the web interface, just like copy files between two windows. Alternatively, you can simply click on the “+” button to use the file picker dialog.

After transferring, your songs should appear in the app immediately. The VLC app also supports videos in most formats, so you can make use of it to put videos on your iPhone as well.
Documents (Free)
Documents is a file manager app for iOS devices and it provides a similar way to put music on your iPhone. The neat and tidy interface and the ability to make playlists of music files automatically are the reasons I included this app in the list.
After installing the app, tap the gear button in the top-left corner to access Documents’ settings. Now select Wi-Fi Drive and turn on this feature. The next steps are similar to the process of sending files to the VLC app above.
To create a playlist of your music, just put them in the same folder using the app’s file manager. Documents’ music player looks pretty nice and it has all the essential functions to control music playback.
Capriccio ($0.99)
Capriccio is not a free app but it has a lot of fascinating features for playing music. The app supports iTunes File Sharing, Wi-Fi transfer, iPod library music, cloud storages and even FPT/WebDAV connections.
Not only can you add music to your iPhone easily via a Wi-Fi network connection, you can also create and manage your playlists, and sort your music by album, artist, and genre.

If your iPhone is jailbroken, then you can easily bypass the restrictions of the iOS file system. There is a Cydia tweak that takes advantage of this and lets you import music directly to your iPhone’s music library, its name is Bridge. It also seems to be the only working tweak at this time.

Just select the “Open in” feature when sharing a file from other apps, you’ll find the option to import it into the Music app offered by the jailbreak tweak.
